If I remember. check out 23.24.25.26
they are by a nice bathroom and there is plenty of flat ground that we could stick in some extra trailers

keep some of that "open ground" open . If I can find enough empty cans along the road to cover my gas this week I might be able to make it. Deans prime rib could be the deal maker! BUT only if he cuts it his self.
Better half is an alt. jury member now, so if she doesnt get the call on tuesday, we'll be free the rest of the week. Lets see at 5 cents a can how many will I need to buy enough gas to go 900 miles at 20 mpg and $3.67 a gal??? :D

John....if you can get it at 3.67 a gallon....stock up...not that cheap down here! Hope you can make it. If Dean is doing prime rib...I was thinking of scalloped potatoes, or maybe Ira's spuds!

Eunice...doubling up isn't going to be a problem huh? Doug

As far as I know ,,,,no. Kenny and I have been there 3 times and there has not been a camp host. (site is always empty) Ihave always been told that I am a pretty good talker :D so all we can do is give it our best shot.

decided no chicken? I will make a green bean casserole and a dessert.
Anyone want to do waffles?

I'm sure there will be a couple of "wafflers". Whether or not it is a special recipe or the plain Jane stuff is up for grabs. Hey, even a plain waffle out camping beats a box of Chex! I'm packing an iron...I'd bet Kevin is too! If that's the case...we need someone to cook up some sort of pork product to make sure we get the full benefit/calories of camping! I'm just thinking that if Dean does decide to do a PR, that maybe we should think about the other entrees that are available and not load up on a lot of the same sort of thing...a vegetable dish would be great as well as a salad/ dessert and maybe some bread. Kinda depends on just how many people show. Doug

Ok I will do the green bean casserole and a dessert for Sat night.
For the waffles I have a plum syrup that is pretty good. I will bring plenty. I will bring sausages too. I have to admit it is a flopped jelly but it sure is good on ice cream and waffles!. doubled the batch but not the pectin...go figure...

Doug,
I say let's bag the prime rib and go with your chicken fryer.
I'd like to try doing some chicken the same way, except in a DO.

TDN has a plan....I'll be spending the night at my home that is in Trinity County and leave early Sat. for the gathering. Otherwise, leaving Friday after work puts me up there on site close to midnight, and it is no easy chore to set up at that time of the night. Plans subject to change....Joanie

Several are already there... Talked to Kevin earlier this evening.
The kids and I are heading out after work tomorrow...
Gonna spend the night in Salyer with Joanie, then the four of us and Little Hog the dog are headed out before daylight Saturday morning.
Just one quick stop at Grant's dad's shop to hitch up a loaner and we're there for ONE WHOLE NIGHT OF CAMPING!!!!
Decided to nix the prime rib and opted to play with some various concoctions for doing fried chicken in a DO.
