Movie Night at IRG 3.0

Postby dhazard » Fri Jan 15, 2010 11:30 pm

I just got the official ok to have a movie night at IRG 3.0
I am thinking about a double feature.
How about an opener of “ The Long, Long Trailer “
With a Midnight Showing of “ The Rocky Horror Picture Show “ :lips:
Anyone have a better selection?

Regards Dan

I like it. I have never seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I may have to find a camping popcorn maker before IRG.

It's sad when you see such deprivation in one's life.

A couple of things:

I wanna know who's going to do clean up after the movie?

And guys, we're a little older now. So when Susan Sarandon is on the screen like this, don't think you can jump up on my shoulders....

(On second thought... maybe this movie is a little too wild for the serenity of the Redwoods.)

If we don’t have enough room to do the Time Warp in the meadow we are doing a “BIG JUMP TO THE RIGHTâ€

Dan...something needs to be done with the sound. Those little speakers I had last time didn't cut it...Could also do some 3 Stooges shorts. Doug

Dear Dan,

Movie

Postby danlott » Sat Jan 16, 2010 12:31 pm

I might get on someones bad side here, but I HATE "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". I think it is about the stupidest movie ever made. I could name a few more, but it is near the top. 1970's soft gay porn horror musicial and the movie plot to go along with it.

How 'bout, The Shawshank Redemption?

"Get busy livin' - or get busy diein'."

or, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid?

"Think ya used enough dynamite there Butch?"

(an instant classic and an old classic)

Somewhere I have a copy of "The Gnome Mobile" on VHS. It was filmed in the redwoods in the late 60's. If I can try to put it on a DVD if you want.

Two of my favorites...
Little Big Man
Paint Your Wagon

I think they'd go good with the redwood setting, but hey... It's your gig.
I too have lived a sheltered life and have never seen RHPS... Although I've been told people get dressed up when they go see it.
Something funny...
Joanie told me we got a note from Jane, said she was bringing a big movie screen.
Oh... You mean my big screen that I've been looking for about two years now.
I had resigned myself to believe maybe I had mistakenly carted it off to the dump.
I now remember Jane borrowed it at IRG2.0.

So... There will be a big projection screen available if need be.

Oh... And did someone ask if the Three Stooges would be there?...
