2nd RUSTIC WHITETHORN RUN...

That area of Southern Oregon and Northern California. (Ask Dean!) Includes Jefferson State Tearjerkers

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Fri Apr 23, 2010 11:26 am

We'll be stopping off at Hoby's Market in Scotia around 4:00pm today to pick up the prime rib from Mel, then stopping in Redway for dinner before heading to Gene & Eddie's place... Should be there sometime before dark thirty.
I did well on all my mid term homework. 5-100% straight across the board.
As for the mid term lab test itself... Had to reschedule that for Sunday afternoon when we get back.
See You Guys There!!!

Wonderful Celebration

Postby The Teardrop Nanny » Mon Apr 26, 2010 3:37 pm

:) What a wonderful Weekend! Many thanks to Gene & Eddie for hosting the gathering at their beautiful piece of property. Great food, lots of sunshine and fine folks to visit with at Rustic Whitethorn.

The property has been improved....an outside deck with seating was added. Look for the videos featuring Outdoor Cast Iron Cooking to be posted on the web soon. Then you can have a good idea of what we ate... and did we ever eat well :R

For those attending, thanks for being part of the 2nd Annual RWR.

prime rib

Postby donn-donna » Tue Apr 27, 2010 7:20 pm

:applause: What a great video of the dutch oven prime rib. How long did it take to cook it? We could almost smell it when Dean pulled it out of the salt. Whitehorn 2011 here we come. And it looks like Gene & Eddie have really worked hard on the 'campground'. :R

Yeah, the roof is amazing on that shelter. I really like that there are more rustic gatherings.
