Kevin.....Just before the weigh station on 199 "Wilderville Lane" goes off to the right.....bear right for about 1/4 mile to "Fish Hatchery Road" (just past the little store)....turn right on Fish hatchery road.....a few miles down, just past Fish hatchery Park...the road makes a "Y"....bear to your right again on South side road.....Follow signs to "Murphy".... Turn right onto 238 then follow Hwy #238 all the way thru Ruch...on and on...to Hamilton Road (toward Cantrell Buckley Park) Bear right on Hamilton Road until it ends...approx 2 miles......turn right onto Upper Applegate Road......Keep going until you see the Lake...!!! Hope this helps :worship:

Hi Keven,

Olga, Russ & I just rode our motorcycles to Applegate Lake from Cave Junction yesterday via the 'back country route' by going over the mountains east of Selma. Its all good pavement and very picturesque. Turn east on Deercreek Road and keep going up and over the mountain. There is one intersection near the top with the sign missing. Stay to the left, go down the other side of the mountain and eventually you will be on highway 238 that Kay describes. It was approximately 75 miles from CJ to Applegate Lake. We went back exactly the reverse of Kay's directions which was also 75 miles. It was a faster trip but not as pretty a drive.

The weather at the lake is perfect. Days cooled down a bit, skies clear, stars out, moon waxing. Come on up if you're undecided about it!

Be there tomorrow.

Cindy had to go on call, (She's a trauma nurse) So I'll be going alone unless somebody knows whether there is att cell reception at the lake.
See you soon.

Hey Guy,

Hey...Better late than never, huh?
Olga and I thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd Annual August Moon Gathering. I swear....The next time I'll bring my sons and their teardrops. And my canoe.... The people were great. The food was great. The weather was great. The atmosphere was great. The only thing missing (and dearly missed) was THE ICE CREAM in the store!
So, Guy, I applaud you for a perfect gathering!

Thanks,

Ron
