 Mine too.

:worship: Need to pick up the pace on my teardrop for it to be road ready in time for IRG.

:frightened: Really don't want to sleep on the ground again in a shiveringly cold tent like I did at IRG in 2008.

We won't be able to make it this year due to a prior travel commitment we had to make before the IRG 6.0 dates were announced. :( We had been to all of them including the pre-planning meets for IRG 1.0 but the fun will go on. Thanks to Joanie and Dean for all their work.

We have a conflict with a prior travel arrangement as well and cannot attend the IRG. We wish everyone a great time in the Redwoods. A huge thanks goes to Dean and Joanie for the many IRG's we have attended and best wishes for a great IRG Finale. We hope to see you and others down the road someday.

Mailed our reservation earlier in the week. My question is what time can we roll in? Trying to plan when to start our trip. Also when do we have to vacate? Need to make some reservations for the trip home.

Thanks

Joanie, are the ones that show up a day or so early going to be allowed too, like at the last IRG? We just paid a per night fee for each day to the ranger. If I remember right, we paid $20 per night for being early.

Thank you, makes planning to get there easier. Want to stay at Albee Creek afterwards for our 32nd anniversary. Reservations are filling up fast this year.

Hi Ted, And for others who may be early early bird arrivals.....

We never know about the earlier day check-in. It all depends upon if someone has reserved it the day before, and we often do not know until a day or two before. Sometimes a class of kids will be there for a nature study, or the host is prepping the site for the first of the season. The DPW folks who used to be in that dept. have since moved on/or retired, and they would usually let us know in advance, as they could rent it out and make up campground fee for its use rather than letting it go unrented. We also have to say that if you are allowed in earlier by the rangers before the official opening, your camping spot, especially if you are new to the IRG, may have to be relocated or shifted depending on where you have set up. This is to allow the Rangers, on-site host, firewood delivery person, and our set-up vehicles adequate access to the grove, or to insure that one campsite is not taken over entirely by just one trailer. It is festival style camping, and we often have to keep certain areas open to allow others an easement in to some of the sites.

Also, an important note:
Memorial Day weekend is a very popular one in that area, and many local families from Hwy 36 and nearby towns come out to camp at Swimmers Delight, and Pamplin Grove is the overflow camping for S.D.
Thanks for inquiring about this.

Hoping mine got there this time around and will have to keep in mind the info about Memorial Day being I usually am one of the early arrivals at these events, well I have been so far, may have to a better timed run down this time around to avoid any "early bird" problems. Thank you for the heads up info, something to think about - could end up having to camp on some side street in Fortuna or Carlotta for a nite or two. Ted

Ted again - camping out on a side street kicked into mind some old memories, this wouldn't be the first time I camped out in this area, stayed hidden out in Scotia behind a train on a overnite stay bicycling though this area in 1985 riding down the west coast back when I was just a "bit" younger than and better, but not great shape, but good in cycling shape - it was a 100 miles a day average or better when I used to do bicycle vacations when ever I traveled. Today a mile or two on a bike will do me in. (rode across the US in 83)
