Great website... Just what I needed..
Thanks for the referral Skulli.
As soon as I finish the TD, I'm breaking out
the welder for the recumbent.

Google "recycled recumbents" for another good site for homemade recumbents.

I have a mig welder and a garage full of tools, but I built the Mach 2 with not much more than a hacksaw and an oxy/acet set and some brazing, heating and bending. It's fun to ride.

Remember to use quality components for best results! I lucked out and had a neighbor lady give me two old road bikes she was going to throw away !!!! The parts on them were pretty good for twenty year old bikes!!

Too bad I don't have anybody to be "sociable" with. :(

Lots more pics of this one & some of my other crap here:

I recommend Bikes@Vienna [http://www.bikesatvienna.com/], in addition to new models they always have a good selection of well maintained used model. They are only a block from the W&OD trail, so you can get in a good test ride before you buy.
Mt Airy Bikes [http://www.bike123.com/] may be a little closer to you and has a very good selection.
