"I" don't claim to be "knowledgable" on this , but would that be considered "Trials Riding " ? Not TRAILS, but TRIALS ??

I believe THAT was a motorcycle thang( Trials Riding )

There have been observed trials bicycle competitions for quite some time also.

This video shows some trials skill in there.. but it is really a bunch of "disciplines" combined.

thats about as inspiring as you can get, sick downhill, trials on a full suspension frame, tight city stuff, and the roof drops.... it defies the logic of a normal person.
why do i have a job i need to get to when i'm not riding?(that sticks in the back of my head when i debate the "get hurt/stick the drop" argument in my head)

screw it, i'm gonna go play in traffic on my remedy-

A bit more 'trials' riding

Postby JuneBug » Tue May 10, 2011 11:17 am

Here is a tasty snippet from Ryan Leech in Kranked 6 Progression.
Different setting, different obstacles, different style, totally poetic moves on insane challenges. The drop off onto a log in mid air did me in.

An interesting aspect is that you can hear his breathing.

north shore riding is already ridiculous, now they cut the skinny bridges into log rounds and mounted them on posts!!! seems trials up there is evolving into something even greater, "yeah, we are gonna ride on that down tree, then climb the tree and balance on a 10" plate... yeah, lets do THAT!" those guys are on their own level.. i will never be there but love to watch it

Jed Mildron triple backflips into the record books

Postby JuneBug » Tue May 31, 2011 10:19 pm

Check it out -- world's first triple backflip.
:applause: :applause:

BMX rider backflips into record books. He thought he was going to die but instead Kiwi BMX rider Jed Mildon made history with the world's first triple backflip on two wheels.

The 24-year-old pulled off the dangerous feat at the Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam in the North Island city of Taupo on Saturday.

Footage of the stunt on Facebook and YouTube shows the impossibly complicated and extremely fast manoeuvre performed in front of a crowd of cheering BMX fans.

Mr Mildon told the Rotorua Daily Post he had a premonition he was going to kill himself trying to perform it.

"I actually had a dream three months ago that I was going to die soon and I thought this was the day, so I just committed 100 per cent and went for (the stunt) and, look, it came out good," he told the newspaper. "Everyone's smiling, so I'm stoked."

Ahh, only the young.......try counting the number of times the sky flashes by on the YouTube vid.
