Folding Bicycle

Postby cathymb » Sat Apr 23, 2011 6:29 pm

West Marine has a 3-speed folding bike on sale for $199. It kind of looks like my brothers banana seat bike he had when we were kids. Can anyone tell me if they are comfortable to ride?I like to ride around the areas that I am camping and my regular bike takes up too much room in my tow vehicle.

I also have a Dahon folding bicycle 7 speed and is OK to ride around the camp grounds or beaches. I wouldn't take it off road though.

Thanks for the info. I ended up buying a Schwinn that came with a storage bag. I found a good deal on line. Since you have both said they are adequate for tooling around the campgrounds, I will save my Trek for serious trips.
