omigod--I had totally forgotten the little 'fembot' bit of 70s Americana until I saw the doll.
Yikes indeed!

"Anyone else notice anything about the females in these posters????????"

yes, they are wearing high heels...

why do women wear high heels, anyway? Tough on the Kinesiology of the body. human feet are not meant to slide down ramps to get their toes squeezed into unnatural shapes..

"News this month
High heels dangerous to your health

The idea that high heels can be hazardous to your health isn't new—orthopedists have warned women for years that high heels can contribute to the development of a variety of conditions from corns and calluses to hammertoes, arthritis, chronic knee pain, sprained ankles and back problems."

I don't know any lady teardroppers that wear heels when camping, but I've been known to show off my bling bling...

We got busy I guess. Barbs bumper sticker reminded me about this. I still like it but think Lady Teardroppers possibly with different color letters would be nice.

Hi, Miriam:
I like it too. I was wondering what happened to the idea.

Were you thinking of black letters inside the pink or....? Please stimulate us with your ideas! :)

Thanks!

REally I am not particularly artistic but I would like to see Lady where the fem-built and make the teardrop into teardroppers........I was thinking color letters on the tire but then they wouldn't match the the other lettering. :? :? Ignore it.

I like 'Lady-Built' too.

Idea #1
I think the letters, etc. could use more contrast so everything shows up better. How would it look if we made all the letters and the nut (in the center) gold-ish/brass color? I'm not good with computer drawings and colors to find out for sure what would look good but I think that would work in all three areas and the contrast might make everything more visible.

Idea #2
Another idea is to make the letters on the tire pink and the letters on the wrench black. The white nut kind of disappears in the gray background, so, for contrast, we might want to make the nut black and maybe the gray area around it, in the center of the tire, white?

Okay, there's two ideas for us to 'talk' about, if anybody's interested. Who's good at playing with the "paint" to see what works?

Here's more food for thought:

I have to say that I really like Barb's bumper sticker idea. (See the Personalized Bumper Sticker thread). I've always liked Rosie the Riveter and the idea of being able to show a picture of one's trailer is a bonus. Also, if someone is building a non-traditional trailer or other TTT, the sign wouldn't confuse readers with 'Teardrop'. If people start using a pink wrench sign that says their trailer is a Teardrop when it isn't, the meaning for the word 'Teardrop' could become muddled.

So, what do others think?

How about "Women for T/TTT" We have too many words for Ladies withTeardrops and Tiny Travel Trailers.

We can always put "We can do it" or "We did it" on this one and leave off the fem/chick/lady thing. I think the pink wrench and symbolism says a lot.
