Thanks for the kind words everyone! :)

I've had a blast working on the Mental Floss the past two years (gotta love teardrop time, lol!). The outside still needs a few trim pieces and weatherstripping, and all of the interior pieces are cut and waiting to be installed (hopefully soon!).

The drive up to LCGIII was the first time she ever left the yard, so I was a nervous wreck for the first half hour or so...I think I was waiting for pieces to start flying off going down the road! When that didn't happen, I relaxed a little and enjoyed the rest of the drive. I really appreciate all of the suggestions and compliments I received this weekend...the award was a complete surprise and it means alot that so many people seemed to like my crazy little creation! :D

Kristi - we need more photos!

I had never towed anything before the teardrop. Still haven't towed it more than 100 miles at a time (most of our trips are just 30 miles each way) and I'm planning a cross-country trip next spring!

I'm still intimidated by Interstates.

Don't be afraid of the Interstates...be afraid of the nutty drivers on them.

Congrats Kristi!! :applause:  :applause:

The Mental Floss had my vote the first second I saw her!! I am really proud of what you accomplished and you well deserved the award.

Ladies, when Kristi gave me the tour Sat morning I got a little emotional and teary eyed. (no pun intended, but it is fitting) I was so proud of how creative and well built it was.

The Mental Floss is a Teardrop that stands out among other Teardrops and I am not surprised that she won the Teardroppers Choice Award.

Well Done Kristi!! :applause: You get the weather stripping on and go out and enjoy camping! Be prepared to have LOTS of visitors.
