cute new tool

Postby robertaw » Thu Sep 17, 2009 11:21 pm

I saw this in a recent issue of Trailer Life with about a dozen other cute little "swiss army" tools that are handy to keep in your trailer.

It's msrp was only $14.99 but I found it for $11.99 at Home Depot.

I was really impressed that it has a hammer complete with claw that is heavy enough to pound the crap out of something if needed. Plus it has wire strippers and cutters! I've been stripping wires with a steak knife for my entire life and have only recently bought a real wire stipper.

Is this adorable or what? :applause:

 Looks like a really handy tool to me. Something to keep the space wasters from taking over. Now to be adorable it needs to come in pastels.......... ;)

 I was also thinking that it needed to come in some pretty colors! Miniatures are cute but pretty colored minatures are cuter!

Ahh yes, the multi-tool, does everything, just not very well.

For best results use the best tool possible designed for the job, it will often compensate for slight discrepancies that tend to sneak into the work.

Best little wire strippers........ever. By Ideal.

I really like the wire strippers that steve has there!

Your multi tool picture is cute too. Be sure to put it on the galley counter before you take the picture!!!

I had a lady relative who painted the handles of all her kitchen drawer tools lavendar. (Yup...The drawer was beside the kitchen sink.) She did that so they wouldn't grow legs and walk out to her husband's shop!

I want one of those ~ no not the wire stripper which, by the way, I saw Steve use several times when I picked up my tear !! No, i'm not saying he wired anything wrong ~ am I ?? Left is Right / Right is Left :D

The gadget gets my vote ~ totally cute and would find it's way into my tool kit (and yes, I keep a kitchen knife in there as backup for just about everything).

P.S. I would use it !

Dear Sandy,

I'll have you know I still think it was the guy at the turn signal lever didn't know his Left from his right, when we were checking the lights (He was outta the car and facing us while pushing the turn signal lever) ..... When we were done, it was wired exactly like when we started......I think...... Having him for a friend always keeps things interesting, I wouldn't want it any other way. I also get to use him as an excuse.

The only thing missing on that gadget is a swing-jack!

I vote for a version w/pink handles!

I've been carrying around a swiss army knife for years, since the kids were small. Heard about a mom who stood by and watched her child get shoelaces caught in an escalator and she couldn't get her out of it. Bought the multi-tool with knives and such right after that. It's come in handy so many times ... even has a magnifying glass, a tooth pick, tweezers, scissors, knives, screw drivers, wine bottle opener, and more. Gave my girlfriends each one a couple of years ago. All ladies should be carrying one ... I only wish they came in pastel colors!

Tools ... don't leave home without 'em!
