Claire and Jamie

Anyone else addicted to Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series? I somehow missed the lastest to come out in September( An Echo In The Bone). I've just downloaded it to my Kindle and cannot wait to curl up with the best read ever.

No, but I have a feeling I'm going to be...

Unfortunately I don't own a Kindle even though it's been on my Amazon wishlist since it was released. But I'm still an avid reader the old fashioned way.

Heading to Amazon to check out this series

Start with Outlander. I must admit, I almost put it down before finishing the first chapter or two. Please promise me you'll read 'til Claire meets Jamie.

I absolutely will! I rarely give up on books. Sometimes I am still holding out hope things will get better when I get to the end.

Me! Raises two hands! (My hubby is too)

I accidentally purchased #3 first, cuz it had a cool cover. And hey, most serials can be read out of order and it doesn't matter. Wrong -- I hated and
didn't even finish it.

Later, I started with volume one Outlander (not realizing I had ever been near it before) on my pda and totally loved it. Now I've moved on to a Kindle, and I'm taking my time with the latest volume. Cuz it'll be over too quickly and then there'll be a loooooong wait!

But I *love* the series!!

I know this is a girl thread but I love Claire and Jammie too. I thought that she had quit writing about them and gone to the Lord John series. Is there another Outlander book? If so what's the title. I gotta git it.

My wife Macy is a librarian and a huge reader of all types of books. She says this series of 7 books is by far her favorites of all times. I have listened to the unabridged version of the first six and really enjoyed them myself. Each audio book is from 28 to 34 CD's. Our TD is named;, Sassenach the gaelic term Jamie uses for Claire which means; The Outsider
or an Englishman or lowlander. The books take place in Scotland. Jamie is from Scotland and Claire is from England.

Rayvillian, The latest in the series is An Echo In The Bone. Came out in September. Don't you just love her titles?

I have it downloaded, but have not started reading yet. I want to savor every word and I may wait until I go to the beach.

New book!! The Scottish Prisoner

A friend has ordered it for me. Can't wait for it to arrive next week. I'm even hoping for some cold and rainy weather so I can thoroughly enjoy the curl up on the sofa.

Seems I have jumped the gun. This is not a Jamie and Claire story, though I saw their names in it. It's a Lord Grey story, not my favorite. Still, Diana Gabaldon has a wonderful writing style.

Bought Written In My Own Heart's Blood. Started reading today. It's over 800 pages so will take awhile for me to finish. I want to savor every phrase.
