It isnt a very good picture but you can see that there is very little gray hair. As I said before I was surprised when it grew out. I do have white temples but have to pull the hair back before they show. I will be 59 in a few days. I dont think I will color my hair (at least for awhile).

Eunice,

I love the weavings! Great job. I started knitting again. I still don't see the gray in you.

But
Those aren't gray hairs!! There are the newest rage...platinum highlights!

Well today I have turned 60 :? and my hair isnt much different from the posted picture. Havent put any color on my hair even though I have been VERY tempted. I am going to leave it natural for awhile longer.
By bringing up this post maybe we will find more gray-haired sisters!

Happy Birthday, Eunice!

I missed seeing you this summer. It seems that when you zigged, I zagged and visa versa. ...Maybe we'll see each other in the spring.

I have chosen the natural route as well. I colored my hair when I was younger, sometimes red, sometimes blonde, sometimes highlighted. My natural hair color is what my mother used to call "dishwater blonde". But it's been about 15 years I think since I've colored and now the gray is starting. To just be starting to gray at age 58 isn't too bad and I have a little gray at the temples and a few wild white hairs here and there.

I will say though, that I have a few friends who have silver or white hair and I envy them. I think it's beautiful, glamorous, elegant. They wear it with confidence and grace too which I think adds another element of beauty to it.

We each have our own idea of beauty and what makes us feel good as individuals, but I say to all of you who choose to embrace your gray, BRAVO!!! Gray hair says I have lived, I have experiences to share, and I have the confidence to be exactly who I am.

Happy belated birthday Eunice! I love the platinum status idea! What a great outlook on life. Two months ago I colored my hair and was really surprised at how different I looked. It looked good but it just wasn't me. I am very comfortable with my gray and am anxious for it to grow back out which will be soon since my hair grows fast and I keep it short.

Happy Belated B'day to you Eunice.

I'm only behind you by a few years. I started turning grey in my late 20's. I think my salt and pepper look is in style!

In high school, my mother wanted my blonde hair to be more tow-headed as it was when I was a toddler, so I had to endure the occasional coloring from her.

As an adult, I want natural and simple. No hair color, no perms.

So, as I age, I keep getting more and more white around the temples and more and more white highlights through out. I'm OK with that--I've earned every one of those!!

My sister pays a lot of money to have a hairdresser highlight her hair--I keep telling her that Mother Nature is doing it for free to me
