I like Dollar Tree foam board sheets. Remove the paper sides using the Awesome cleaner also sold at DT. Pretty flexible for making the roof too...

Hi All! Wanted to update on the project, I'm pretty proud of what it's come to so far. Like I said, I'm giving him a bare-bones kit to jump off from, so the finished product may not look exactly like these photos....but I managed to draft my own version of a basic trailer plan, transfer it to some craft plywood, and cut & sand it all (tools courtesy of Dad's workshop).

Now I just have to find glue/paint/etc, a good case to put it in, and wait for gift-giving day. Fingers crossed that he likes it!

Look up on ebay "Jimmy Flintstone" and he has a 1/24th scale styrene model of a teardrop. It looks like a "kit" brand trailer. He will have to furnish wheels for the teardrop. I build model cars and have seen it on ebay. Hope this helps. TP
