A few build notes

Postby Sandy St. Louis » Wed Jun 01, 2011 8:45 pm

With a door lockup will be complete. I will have to build the door as a custom one is to pricey. This project has been fun , the building has 15lbs of screws,18 tubes of construction glue, 1/2 a case of 3.5inch nails. over 8000 staples and 20 3/8 x 6 carrige bolts . complete lockup will be in a couple of days. Up until now we 2 over the hill guys have spent about 130 old guys hours in total

front porch

Postby Sandy St. Louis » Fri Jun 03, 2011 9:51 pm

Thanks Slow, after reading all the other threads on tiny houses I am convinced the advice of not using trailer space for a poor functioning porch is very correct.

There is a world, just beyond now,
where reality runs a razor thin seam between fact and possibility;

Anywhere I roam where I lay my head is home....

tiny house

Postby Sandy St. Louis » Fri Jun 03, 2011 10:11 pm

It's at lockup! The plan now is to regroup and figure the interior and how to best use it. The advice on ship's ladders is a bonus I'm leaning towards the double step using a landing to spread the required space in 2 directions . I must also finish a couple of other projects .Sandy
