My first unfixable failure............ I placed a romax feed off of both entry doors for a set of recessed lights. There were to be 2 in the "living room' and 2 in the entry area. I failed to daylight them out before closing up the ceiling and dry walling the side walls. Well we went hunting for them this weekend. Stared cutting holes in my beautiful drywall job and removing portions of the ceiling I can not find them anywhere :x So now I have two switched lines that are hot when switched on but attached to nothing. I have given up. I will remove the switch and convert the mystery switch to a duplex outlet. I feel so damn stupid. If I had just taken a picture I would know where they are but I will take a beating before I take down anymore finished walls or ceiling.

Remember the post above , well here is the update......

I decided to take that beating and unscrewed more of the ceiling and located both errant wires. I am proud to say I have the 4 can lights now in place. My God the light these little sealed LED'd put out I am so glad I persisted. I was also able to get the ceiling fan up. Energized by these successes I turned to putting down the new flooring. It looks fantastic. I will hopefully finish it today and will have some pictures either way to post Tuesday.

Well my $10.00 yard sale ceiling fan needed $4.28 worth of bulbs to be complete. While I was out shopping I picked up about 160 feet of various trim at a flea market. Chair rail , tall base , door stop. and fluted wide trim to flank the sides of the 2 pooch outs, All for $28.00 and change. Guess I will spend our snowy Saturday staining all the trim and getting it ready to install. I need to update my build costs I suppose.....

I just figured up my daily cost of my "bad habit", " the depot" ! I have spent $ 3584.00 in the 540 days I have been working on it. That's about $6.63 a day for each and every day since 10/1/18. Heck I know smokers that go thru 2 - 3 times that much a day in cigarettes. It's a damn good thing I don't smoke. That way I can support my bad habit ! :D

Bob, one time I covered up a ceiling wire with sheet rock when I built a house- fortunately, I owned a metal detector and was able to find the wire.

Well no new progress on the Depot but we do now have 68 metal base cabinets about 14 single bowl sinks and 20 or so Formica countertops.

I guess I am going into the work shed furnishings business. It was only $200.00 so maybe I can make a buck or two to support my building habit.

Anyone need a workbench with storage ?

Well the very first sale of the cabinets netted me better than 1/2 of my investment back already. 6 down and 62 to go ! Hope to get some more sold soon I need to be able to get in the building again. It is stuffed to the doorway :o

3/31 UPDATE 21 more cabinets left this weekend. At $20.00 each this is starting to be a rather lucrative deal. :D

Wow a month come and gone. Cutting wood ,mowing grass, putting in 2 gardens ( mine and the land lady's little kitchen garden) . Had help and we felled 15 dead trees and they are still in need of being cut to length and split :frightened:

Well finally some news the dove grey stucco effect interior paint job on the Depot is about 3/4 done. Thanks to a new doctor and some Gout meds the knee is working again. He did read me chapter and verse about the causes and #1 was beer :x Well 3 weeks and counting and (almost) no brews! I notice I have more money but green tea just AIN"T the same :rofl2:

Had a nice campfire with the tops and crap from all the wood cutting so I enjoyed the fire off an on all night Sunday evening. Had all the goodies in the tiny house caboose so I enjoyed buritto's for dinner and about one AM brewed up a hot pot of coffee. Star filled night and a gorgeous full moon it was almost like daylight. All in all I worked my ass off all weekend but it was a good kind of tired I enjoyed after looking at the progress.

Have a trio of railroad art to hang on that wall. I am still looking for a couple more frames. I also have a dozen or so small railroad prints for elsewhere in the depot and the caboose. I found a large scale box car to be made into a night light with some flashing crossing arms. It is getting down to the fun stuff. Two days up and down on a ladder and duck squatting to hang the paper left me crippled as hell but it looks so damn good :)

Well the directv guy showed up Monday ! We placed the dish mount on the depot and fed both tinys for tv and internet.

I went over with the installer I needed 12 feet of cable in the depot and 8 in the caboose. I was expecting to find a little coil of wire left in the floor of each. I was busy installing fence and didn't hover over the installer. Here is my professional installation......

That's a poor excuse for an install. I'm sure you will rework it.

He did better then the AT&T internet installer , at least he made it to the appointment. The internet installer has been a no so for 3 days ( so far ) ! I called this morning and canceled it all "F" em' ! The landlady has decided to board horses in with my tiny's and so it seems I will be stomping thru horse sh** and such. Right now I am lower than a snakes belly. I really need to just sell all my junk and take the summer off and wander.
