If you really want to go for broke, there is a guy on a local radio show that has a line he started using with his co-host. When she starts to talk over him, he says " Did the middle of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours?". I have heard that one does not go over as well at home as it does on the radio.

Nice job on the decals.

Ok, here goes. I got this stove in Dec. It is a Preway 403. Looks like it was made late 1930s. 3 burner, cast iron manifold and grates, tank holds about 1/2 gallon of fuel. Plug on one end, pump on the other. All I did to make it work was oil the pump leather and fuel her up. The generator is on the left burner.

Image

Fuel can for size. Seems more appropriate than a pop can ( this is Idaho, they are pop cans. Not soda or coke can )

Riot gets in the picture.

3 burning

It burns very well and will add good ballast. Specially with a full tank of fuel. The Aux burners are opened with levers and I believe they do not close very tight as there is good smell of fuel while running in the house. Not enough to go "boom" but it s there and would probably be real bad in a small trailer. Outside no problems. Heat output of the main burner alone is about the same as a 425. It is a good stove. I like it.

On the right side of the tank is some solder. Does not seem to be a hole repair. Holds pressure just fine and from the shape of it it might be for a badge/tag or something. I am not worrying about it.

Nice stove. I like it.
The flip up grates are pretty cool, too.

I have a similar stove Randy (1939)...however, my burners have almost burned through. Don'tcha just love those large 3 burners with the cast iron grates! Doug

They are a nice stove. Cast iron burners are so nice after they get warmed up. Simmers better than most anything other camp stove.

We're going to need pictures of kittens when they are ready for it... but perhaps that is another thread.

Probably the big foamy thread. Enough dogs and horses in there just as well get Riot and her kitties in there.

Several months back there was a meeting of Coleman collectors in Lacy Washington. I was not able to attend but Scooter Jan of the CC Forum is from Canada and I bought a 335 from him. He would deliver it to Makiiteo (Eirc) at the meeting and Eric would send it me. It arrived save and sound. Eric did a fantastic job wrapping it up. I unwrapped it and found an almost brand new 335 with the box ( I did not expect a box also ) I doubt if it had been burned more than a few minutes then put away.

Image

Fresh out of the box.

Fantastic looking logo

Original made in England globe. There was even a brand new mantle tied on. one of the good ones. Which I slipped with a match and poked a hole in it on first light up.

Yup, it is a lantern. Nice and bright in a single mantle. Date is 11 1971.

If you are wondering why it was hand delivered to Eric than to me. Shipping across the US/Canadian border is ridicules.

Thanks Scooter Jan and Mukiiteo

Cool. Now if there was a bottle for alcohol that would fit in the parts well.

Thanks Eric. Not only is it a busy paint season, but I have been real sick for a month. Some kind of lung infection. Kind of getting over it now.
