Vintage Coleman and other stuff....

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

Postby doug hodder » Sat Dec 06, 2008 12:25 am

John....I knew you probably had some squirreled away, most people do if they have lanterns...

Jeremy...nice job on the fit up on the box lining. I need to do that on mine, but my storage box is much deeper than yours, (and I have fat hands!), decals look great! Doug

Danny....imagine this...you in your avatar with that Coleman coffee pot rather than that blue one....just something to think about. If I can find one in a sage or mint green....I'm on it! Doug

I would have no way of justifying that one with the wife. Neither one of us drink coffee, & I have a blue enamel coffee pot already. I will just have to add that to the list of Coleman stuff I don't need like the heater and Coleman neon sign I found.

Hi Dougie:

No divorce...he feels pretty lousy about it so that's good enough. I loved the 3 burner stove and it had sentimental value. Oh well...their gone.

Problem with that one is it is only good as a collectible unless you get the valve changed, otherwise you can't get it filled. ;)

Ok I retrieved my old Coleman lantern out of the black hole, it's a 228 E
dated April of 1963. I'll get some pics posted tomorrow.

You can't even get a valve that fits it. The threads are smaller that modern tanks.
