Joining the cult....

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

Postby Joanne » Sat Jan 17, 2009 10:49 pm

Mark & Doug,

I'm sure it was put away with fuel back in about '76. I don't believe that it was ever used with anything but Coleman fuel, but it MAY have. I don't get any old gas smell though.

I appreciate the tips on soaking parts. I have some work on the tear that I need to take care of, but I'll be working on the stoves before too long. I have a new WG Coleman stove that a friend gave me so I'm using that when I'm out camping. (it had never been used!!)

I'm starting to feel like I need a 35 foot motorhome to pull my tear with. I'll sleep in the tear and load the coach up with all the "toys". :?

Just rotate to a different toy for each outing. If we all carried all of our obessesions every time we camped our outings would look more like a giant flee market!

Not a big hat but what about a pair of old black hats?

Retired long ago after a life working for the city.
These are Dietz Monarch and used to be blue. You can see some of the color slipping through.

This is a good idea as it would add something a little different to your gatherings.
