Nice job!!!....funny how it really doesn't take much to turn a sows ear into a silk purse. 25cents....and it'll give you years of service...can't beat that, nice find! PS....great quilt in the background! Doug

I never used a coleman fuel lantern before

Postby Zollinger » Sun Jan 25, 2009 9:55 pm

It was kind of nerve wracking pressure testing it for the first time. There was a small leak. Tore it down, tested it again and shot fuel all over my desk  I amazed that it worked the first time I tried to light it! :worship:

Hummm.... I think my husband dragged home a old round coleman heater home last summer. I wonder where it is?

Da Quilt

Postby Zollinger » Sun Jan 25, 2009 10:08 pm

Thank's. The quilt top has quite a story to tell. The top was made in the 30's by my GG Grandmother Erma. She died in the 1960's before I was Born. Was in the attic of my G Aunt's house during a garage fire in the 1970's. In the 1990's it was given to me and I hand quilted it and finished it in 2005.

Darn I can't slide anything past you guys. I set my camera date to the wrong year by accident. But is still sat for a year before I got the courage to re-build it. This is my first liquid fuel appliance.
