Can anyone tell me if there is a way to clean or repair the brass valve on these old BernzOmatic lanterns...it worked fine for years, then started sticking, now the flow has stopped completely....this pic is not mine...but mine looks just like it.

A couple of questions.. Will the knob turn or is it froze? If the valve turns but no gas did you store it with the tank off? Mud daubers will plug even the tiniest hole even if they can't nest in it. And of coarse I know its silly but I must ask..Are you sure there is gas in the tank?

I had two valves...one never worked the other did. The good one was stored on the gas tank, and it is full. The knobs turn, but no gas is getting out....

Have you tried another tank? Maybe the valve in the top of the tank is not letting anything through..
