Vintage ?- Optimus 930 Made in Sweden

Postby Classic Finn » Thu Feb 26, 2009 4:00 pm

Wow there,s an oldie of an Optimus 930 Made in Sweden Lantern not far away from us. The elderly woman says its old and unused in box but dont remember or dont know the age.

Nice looking. However can someone tell me how old this actually is? This woman says its ours if we want it. No charge. :o According to the wife it was her husbands who passed away and we can go pick it up tomorrow since she knows we like this kind of outdoor gear.

Heikki, everything I am finding says it is from the 50's. Kerosene lanterns are cool! less expensive to run!!

Heikki-

I did find this:

http://homepages.gold.ac.uk/suzanne/shiny.html

She states from the early '70's which looking at the packing seems to fit

Cheers,
