Question on check valve assemblies..

Postby Micro469 » Mon Mar 02, 2009 3:48 pm

I ordered new check valves for my lanterns, and they have an O ring on them. When I pull out the older styles, I don't see it.DID they have an O ring on the older styles? And did it just disintegrate? Reason I'm asking, I now want to put an old one back into another lantern, and not sure if I have to go out looking for a small O ring...........

The old style did not have a o ring. You can just put it in as it is.

The older style was probably manufactured to tighter tolerances and was a metal-to-metal seal? Just guessing.

The whole world is going this way......
