This can't be good....

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

Doesn't say for what gas.....Looks the sam3e as the old one......

Fuel

You describe exactly how my older lanterns act when I get too much fuel in them. It's just a thought but take out some of the fuel and fire it up again.

Several of you made mention of the "Coleman Forum". What is the website?

I want to thank all of you for trying to help me with my problem, but I think this one is going to be for display only. I'm not going to spend more money on it for now, maybe later if I find a used beatup 200 that runs fine I may work on it again. I have a gut feeling that the entire valve assembly is just wore out and needs to be replaced.

Here ya go Mark....they are doing some maintenance on it tonight and you probably can't get on. Go down to bulletin board service and get registered. There is tons of info for restoration and manuals, parts, knowledge. http://www.oldtownyucca.com/coleman/

John, I can tell you for sure that you do not need a new valve. If you are getting fuel & you can turn it off, it is fine. I think it is the generator. I would put a different one on even thou that is a new one. You may have just got a bad one.

One question, in you album you have a picture of it running, what did you do different since that picture?

Nothing.....That's the way she runs after she settles down, it just takes about 3 or 4 minutes.
