My Newly Arrived Coleman 425B Stove

Postby PresTx82 » Fri Mar 06, 2009 10:02 pm

My Coleman 425B Stove finally arrived today. I got it off EBay as a project, but there's not much to do with it but clean it up. This one will make a nice addition to my small 502 stove.

Now all I need is to find me an old Coleman 413D model. I just like that round tank!

Nice stove Mark!....On my 425 I made a small inner shield in .040 aluminum that fits inside the box, it's removable and allows about 1/4" of air cushion between the side and the shield. It protects the paint from scorching. Too large of a pan will throw the heat out into the side of the box and the 425 has a smaller box than the 413. That's the theory behind it....haven't really put it to the "burn" test yet. Doug

I wouldn't mind seeing it in action. The box or cooking area does seem a bit limited.

I'll get a pic of it. Seems that most of the 425's always get scorched in the same places. Doug
