New Coleman ad...anyone seen it?

Postby doug hodder » Sat May 16, 2009 7:42 pm

There's a new Coleman ad, sort of stressing the history of their products, short vignettes of old home movies of people out camping . I'd imagine that with the economy such as it is, they are trying to push the "back to camping" and time with the family out of doors thing...Mike A mentioned it to me this morning...saw it just a few minutes ago. Hey...we knew this all the time!!! Watch for more "Happy Campers" in your travels. Doug

Here's their press release about them. There are 2 ads so far, finally got it to load up and I could view them. Really does remind me of some of our camping trips back in the late 50's and 60's. The Rambler is is both ads. Doug

Postby doitright » Sun May 17, 2009 7:42 pm

I have been thinking of this allot. Lots of people may not go on a vacation this year due to loss jobs and or shorter hours at there job. Camping would be the thing to do. Just think we or most of us have more then we realy need to go camping. All it would realy take to go camping is a tent. Everybody at home has cook ware, blankets, ice chest and a lamp and maybe a fan. What else do you realy need. Camping could be a very cheep vacation. We are taking a cheep vacation this year. I do own a 26` camper and will be going to the beach for a week. The cost of the gas cost more than the camping spot and it will be far cheeper than going to Jamaica as we have done in the past but money is tight.
