Coleman fuel tanks/founts

Postby xrover » Tue Jun 09, 2009 2:56 pm

I won a bid last night for 5 new old stock coleman tanks. Once I get them in I will better know the part numbers. The sizing is:
Two are about 15 1/2" long and 4 1/2" wide
One is about 12" long and 5" wide
Two are 12" long, 3 3/4" wide
These are tanks only, no generators or tank valves.

I will be using 1 of the 15 1/2" long.
Once they have arrived I will take my total costs and then post a very reasonable price. If they are as good as they looked in the photo then those looking for excellent replacement tanks may want to jump at them.
I suspect I will be selling each tank for about $15 + shipping. I paid $30 for the lot, but it will probably cost $30 to ship in to me. I only plan to sell the 4 to cover the overall costs. I will box each one seperately and wrap with bubble wrap to protect in shipping. I get a free tank. :)

Keep this post in mind. Here is a link which has a photo of the tanks:
ebay item number = 160339436037

I will update the post next week when I get them with final pricing.
Stay tuned.
Thanks

Wanted to know if you had an update on this thread. I recently picked up a 425 and have the incorrect tank on it. Are any of your tanks the flat ended older type and if so, are they available? 8.5" center to center on the tank tabs. Thanks. Doug

Rats...just checked the item number...no flat ended ones there.
