Found a 1965 200a

Postby jayg0351 » Fri Jun 19, 2009 10:16 am

I stopped at agarage sale this morning and found a 200a with a case for $5.00. So far since I jioned this forum I have bought a 413g, 426d with a stand, and a 295a. I think this is geating to be a hobby of some sort. I had to put a new pump on the 200a the leather gasket was gone. The new one fit but not real good. I am reall happy with it. :D

jayg0351:
Did you replace the whole pump or just the leather? I love those 200A's and the one you got looks pretty nice. Way to go. :applause:

Hobby? Oh the denial of addiction. Admitting you have a problem is the 1st step.

Nice 200A!...I get lots of fixer uppers, don't run into the really nice ones like that at a price like it. I figure, I'm getting an education on all this gas pressure appliance stuff though! Enjoy! Doug

Once you got it running, did you crank it full open and have good pressure?

Addiction is RIGHT! Since Tom (TLC) and I started talking about Coleman a few months back, I've acquired a museum of stuff....... and there doesnt seem to be an end in site!

And this doesnt include the 6 other 200A's on my bench!!

Addiction....we don't got no stinkin' addiction! I've given up on the coffee table and couch. I use my camping recliner anyway. Not shown are 4 other stoves and 2 lanterns. When you're not married, you can do this stuff, note the pile of clothes on the floor in the bedroom! I think they're the clean ones.... Doug

Doug is the Coleman King!! :worship: :worship:
I like the color of the 425 in the front, and I LOVE the black one! I like the wooden cases too! Maybe this winter I can build a few of those..... between re-doing the stoves and lanterns I have awaiting makeovers!

That one if front is a 417B (1940-43)....waiting, still, on the decal for it, I hand cut the template and sprayed the Coleman on the black 2E...got tired of waiting for it. My favorites, the black stove (1930) and the 252 Military (1952) that Jeremy gave me This stuff is really a lot of fun Huh? Fairly inexpensive, fun to use and camp with. White gas....(it's what cooks dinner). Doug

This picture is over a year old now.

It is missing my 502 stove, my 500A stove, a Sears 200A lantern, a red 200A lantern & (2) 242C lanterns.
