globes on a 200A

Would someone know when Coleman stop etching the logo on globes and started painting them on the globe. The kids picked up a 1954 200A this week and the globe is etched. This is the first time I have seen one like that.

Globe information
1932-1933: Sandblast etched large sunshine logo over “Coleman”.
1934-1945: Large green straight line “Coleman”
1946-1959: Small green sunshine over “Coleman”
1960-1980: Curved Pyrex over red Coleman logo
1980- : White logo with country of manufacture

Most likely it is a green logo that is faded. They stopped etching them before the 200A started.

One of the 200A's that they picked up is dated 6/54 but it has an etched globe with the "sunshine" over the Coleman??? Could it be that the Globe is from the thirties and the lantern is from the 50's??? It's definitely not faded and definitely not green.

That is a 1946-1959: Small green sunshine over “Coleman” globe. As you can see, it is not very green any more. They look etched but they are really faded green. The earliest lantern Coleman made that would fit the 200A globe was a 242 which started in 1932. The early 242 had a mica chimney, not a globe. It was a couple years later when the Pyrex globe was made to fit the 242.

Well, I don't know what to say other than I believe you're right...it's just that looking at it, it doesn't resemble any kind of green...guess its just that faded. Thanks for you help...I really appreciate it.
