garage sale score

Postby Hunterbug » Thu Jul 16, 2009 2:47 pm

Yesterday I was leaving a buddies place on my way to work when I passed a garage sale and something cought my eye. I stopped and they had an old Coleman lantern. It was marked $10, I ofered $6 and we settled on $8. Somewhere along the line someone etched USFS R6 on the side. On the bottom it reads Coleman Lamp & Stove CO Wichita KS Instant Lite Patented June 26th 1929.

Very Very good find! Was the USFS stamped into the tank, or did someone else do it? Doug
