IRG 4.0 2012 Coleman light up info...

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

Postby Lazybones » Mon Jan 23, 2012 1:25 pm

We will have a good set up to display the lanterns for the light up and it will make for a good picutre.

A shape may be too complicated.

set up

Postby The Teardrop Nanny » Sat Jan 28, 2012 10:23 pm

Sawhorses would work or planks on cinder blocks (less to catch on fire). I have a pair of metal collapsible sawhorses that is covered with a wooden top I can bring down. Let me know as I am local and will be hauling down lots of stuff. What's a few more items to add on?

We are a long way away from a record. Please encourage anyone who may be on the fence to participate.

I have a few more white gas lanterns that are being broken down and cleaned. Hopefully all will be able to be lit by IRG. I will add to the count when the all the paint dries.

Come on folks... now is the time to get those lanterns out and do a quick check out before IRG.

By the way... what is the current record number that we are trying to break?

You might be able to do a ring of lanterns around the big fire pit and then get a picture of it by standing on top of one of the picnic tables or by climbing up in one of the near-by trees.

A ring or series of lanterns in the shape of spokes around that glowing center fire could look pretty good. :D

PS. Can I add my battery-powered lantern?

Yes. We are going to light the white gas lanterns first. Then add Propane, followed by Battery.

Dave....it's still kinda up in the air...depends on just how many we get to show, that's why Lee and I were asking for a count. As you know...the real issue is getting everything into an area where it can be viewed and photographed completely in 1 shot. Remember how far away we had to get at the NorCal Coleman thing to get a pic? We can only go by what people say they will bring, but the real deal is just how many actually show and work. Doug

Lee, Right now it looks as if I will be bringing 26 white gas, NO profane NO electrik.
All this depends on being able to fit them in my truck along with all the
other camping gear.
