You would be surprised what good old fashioned Colgate tooth paste (not the gel stuff but the regular paste) will do. It is a very fine polish. Do a wash with dish soap to scrub off any greasy residue then rub it out with a soft cloth and tooth paste.

Slow....just about any fine metal polish will work. I use Meguiars all metal polish. You can do this to take care of the initial go around on it, but be careful if you use any sort of motorized buffing wheel. You can burn through the nickle in a big hurry and leave yourself with a yellow spot that will tarnish to a green gray. Remember....the more you polish it...the more nickle you are removing. Doug
