Replacement Globe for M.Ward/Hawthorne Lantern?

Postby Alfred » Sat Oct 06, 2012 2:58 pm

Hey Gang,

So I bought this old Montgomery Ward Hawthorne/Model-60-9521 lantern off E-bay. The globe in it was a Coleman globe.

The lantern arrived yesterday with the globe broken, in transit (Doh!)

I worked it out with the Ebay seller, nice fellow, gave me a refund and said I could keep the lantern. But, what is my best option for a replacement globe? If I replace it with another Coleman globe, does not appear the one that was in it fit very well. Or should I just keep it shelved with no globe?

Any advice?

Thanks! AL

Hi All,

I found one - Takes either a Thermos 702 globe or a Coleman 275 globe. They're similar, although the 702 is the better match, but I was able to get a Coleman 275 globe for quite a bit less on Ebay. So it is on the way.
