canned butane

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

canned butane

was at an old hardware store today and the had a case of canned butane .
looks like it would be from a stove or lantern
any ideas ? is it worth getting as a barter item for other parts ?

Only if you have a stove or lantern that they fit. The connector for butane appliances is different from the much more common propane, and are not interchangable. Fewer appliances (lanterns and stoves) use butane than propane.

Those cylinders will also work in "Camping Gaz" equipment, which is distributed by Coleman in the U.S.

I have both a Bluet lantern and stove that uses that fuel. I wish is was closer to here (Western KY), I have a hard time finding it around here.

Ha! As an IT geek, I prefer to think of the food groups as Mountain Dew, Red Bull, Doritos and walker :).

I'm loosing weight...got 50 more to go, so I'm discovering fruits, vegetables, and lean meat... Bummer. Can't even have bacon :(
