red on top, kirk. I got a green font and a red vent top on mine!

love that lantern and its mighty dependable liter! my boss always lit and ran the red one though and sat it up on the propane refridator up at cow camp all the time.

I got mine when he could not get them to stay lit. I found out on the forum that all it takes is to blow the millers and the spiders out of the air tubes on the old colemans.

the first lantern I got running was the christmas edition 200 a that old bob gave me my boss.

I robbed parts of the totaly red one that he gave me to get the christmas one going.

now I am thinking on getting the red one going.

at cow camp old bob would go out on the porch and lite the red lantern than pump it up and take a pair of plyers and tighen down the fuel filer cap so busting tight to hold the air in it.

then every night at 7 he would set it up on top the fridgerator.

it would light the hole trailer.

the millers and flyes would mob the coleman lantern all evening.

in the morings he would get up at 4 am and just turn on the burners on the stove and turn them up on high wide open and would not light the lantern

the burners were his heat in the summer time and his moring lights.

Dang it . I have a lantern that is the wrong combo for a Christmas. Red on bottom. Well maybe it will be a new Christmas tradition.

You should name it Eve. Then it could be your Christmas Eve lantern.
