I got this colmanitize thingy bad!

Postby slowcowboy » Sat Mar 15, 2014 2:54 am

I am going to use this tread to post some photos hopefully this weekend of my new coleman stove. I don't know whats wrong with me but I just bought a new coleman stove I needed like a hole in the had yesterday afternoon at the "opertunity shop" in dubois wyoming. I just had got a 3 burner off ebay and now a freaking 2 burner and this one is a least a 70 model in a good looking old box and its yea mint paint condition! paid like 15 bucks!

what do I need a another stove for?

this is getting bad now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was pay day and I just got off work.

this is worse than a guy going to the bar after work on pay day.

I go and get opertunitys from the local junk store in town after work.

had so much good stuff there I blew enough for a tank of gas on my yellow ford fucus!

and it didn't help that gas in dubus went up another ten cents or I ended up with only 28 hours in at work last week!!!!!!!!!!!!

that ford focus is so jamed up with stuff in the rear seat its squating.

I could not pass up another plastic empty cow cake lick tub in the barrow ditch on the way to work either.

the cake tub is for a experment in farming growing cukes this summer where weeding will be mimal and on a drip sytem.

any ways. I am getting out of control on m coleman collecting and yes I am going to have to give you guys a break and post some photos to this tread!

why do I need another coleman stove? I can feed a army now and light the hole planet up if the power goes out?

maybee I am just saving colemans to lend to my neigbors if we do have a power outage!!!!!!!!!!!!! you know pass out colemans like a good smaritan!

slow this is getting bad now!

Slow, you have to grab the deals when you see them! It's a law. Don't want to break the law do ya? I have to many stoves as well. I am just finishing a custom paint job on a basic 425B. Maybe you could give that a try on your most beat up stove. It's fun and I take mine camping with me. They don't just sit in the shed.

While you are taking pictures, post one of the chandelier you have. I've never seen one and maybe others haven't either.

I won't admit how many stoves and lanterns I have. I do have a problem.

That tub should be pretty good for gardening. Not to many around here but I will watch out my house today and watch for any flying by. May have to doge a few houses if I try to retrieve anything.

We have a pretty good wind going here today. How you doing up there in the Wind Range?

I keep telling myself that every dollar I spend now is probably another $20 I won't have to retire on. If I don't have the money when I retire, I won't be able to camp around the country. Then I might as well just lay down and meet my maker.

I am going to enjoy myself I already know I can't ever live on social security and I already know I will be working till I fall over dead.

number one reason I keep a cow around thats pretty much my retirement check is a cow. I have seen so many old guys work till they drop and I have seen so many people starving on social security with high inflation rates. I know that retirment is a pipe dream!!!!!!!!!!

when your limeted all the time on short wages and inflation rates. your always down to the last penny and that extra 20 for retirement pretty much goes into a tank of gas all the time or something you need now to live instead of retirment.

belive me saving up for a wedding ring on dang good wages was hard enough!

in the recesson for the me the last 4 years I have seen people loose all them saved up 20s!

enough on the money thing.

I do have colmanitize bad. but I always try to thin some of it out to special collection.

so. I got a perfectly good coleman stove a 423F for sale. mint condition and nothing wrong with it and great paint job. and it comes with a good box and instructions.

the catch.

it was made in 1989! so rats! not a collector but if your in to 80s stuff that is starting to get old as I am nearing my 40s. its a good oldy!

still beats the wally world stuff made in china in the 90s!

but its going up for give away soon or going to get turned into a john deere paint job with a john deer yellow font and a few john deere tractor decals on it to become a john deere stove!

but its also for complete give away as I am thining out to just the good stuff!

I already have a 425F. it is my trailer stove. It was made in 83/84 I bought at a pawn shop in 87/88, never had been used and I have used it a lot since then. It has been driven all over the western US. Only had to replace the filler cap gasket and the neoprene pump cup. It still living out in the trailer.

I got my Colmanitize from a loose expensive lantern I met at an antique store in Mount Shasta. I looked at her, she looked at me -- then we snuck off together. I tried to get her paid and to the car before my wife found us - busted. I have had the Colmanitize ever since.
