So I have been pondering this question for a couple of years now, and with the exception of I needed it desprately to work during our February ice storm and week long power outage just to keep my family from freezing to death, but here's the deal...
I have currently 4 old liquid fuel Coleman Catalytic heaters that I have picked up at various times for anywhere from way too much to free...
Oddly enough it is the one I spent way too much on that doesn't work well but I digress...
These were manufactured when gasoline was regular and high test, leaded. And it is a well known fact that tetraethyl lead would poison and clog the catalyst.
I have seen some posts on an ice fishing forum somewhere saying that they use these with unleaded gasoline. Of course there are a LOT of different grades, and I was wondering...
Has anyone here succesfully used these with unleaded gasoline, and if so, what variety, and with what level of success?
