Old tent trailer showed up in my drive way, what next.

Design & Construction of anything that's not a teardrop e.g. Grasshoppers or Sunspots

Postby teardrop_focus » Sat May 30, 2009 12:30 am

I think it's time for me to check out del's yellow submarine. I've kept telling myself, "Later. It's not traditional-looking enough." Heh. Well, now I really want to see what it took to build that thing. brb.

Hey! Where'd everybody go?

Haha, I don't know about everyone else but I went to bed, it was 1am!

You didn't say goodnight.

45 minutes later...

You, sir, are a man of singular vision. That's really something!

I applaud you.

This getting dark at 9pm is slowing progress. All the wood has been cut into kindling, now to take it to the neighbors. A side line there is two placements of the large holes on th cross members. I am guessing a stamp/press bent them and punched out the large holes, then the smaller holes were drilled/punched out as needed.

if I was closer del I'd take that frame off your hands. I have a good axle and tongue attached to a busted frame I need to rebuild. But alas, it is a frame too far...

Why is my transporter beam not ready yet?

Ah no axel. That would make it a bit hard to tow home wouldn't it.

I got 3 new wheels like this one.

I need a wider axle, or bigger wheel wells.

Hm  The only comment I have there is that it's not just 4 bolt versus 5 it's the spacing of the bolt holes.

When I buy the new drums I will take the old drum, and the new wheel (new to me) with me. First I need to pick up the wheels from behind my uncles garage in Kansas who I plan to visit right after ITG3.
