What Is The Smallest SLEEPING Trailer You Have Heard Of?

Postby H-Balm » Wed Apr 07, 2010 6:43 pm

So, I am now seeing trailers all day. With my trailer kit on it's way I can't stop dreaming.

Today, I got thinking about small. Really small.
I got this idea.... how small could we go?

Ever seen a micro trailer? The only requirement is it sleeps an adult. No other requirements.

Before I develop my idea, I'd like to know what others may have seen, or thought of?

I curled up in my 3x5 motorcycle trailer as a bad joke for friends and it gave me an idea.

Think of the slide out coolers.... Now put a small pull out shelf to extend the bed at night and a snap on a canvas end wall and sides supported by the open hatch. would probably sleep head to the hitch to keep the majority of the body weight forward of or over the axle.

Just a dumb thought but it would be warm, dry and off the ground.

When I think compact, I think softsided.

Using a Oasis II folding tent unit that comfortably sleeps two people, here is closed and opened.

Then mount it on a 35"x55" HF

Nice small footprint that's around 235 lbs.
