Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Has anyone else seen these: http://tracktrailer.com.au/tvan/

I was thinking it would be a good design to try and build, but the from the looks of it, tongue weight may be an issue. The axle is quite a ways back towards the rear. Maybe they offset it with water storage? Anyway, I thought it was just different enough to be interested in it.

Looks cool... Like the design... primary thought is about the canvas tenting... always have to ask myself, what is the real world life expectancy and the cost of replacement... That is the same question that makes me hesitant on the idea of a used popup type camper.

I never really thought about that, it's a good point to make. I do like the concept though.

I think it looks nice.

I like how it expands.

I thought it was cool because it was different then all the other off-road trailers. I also like the idea of a fold down "porch" LOL!

They are built down here. The owner of the Company maintains his original design was based on a Teardrop. The reason the axle is so far back is because most of the weight is over the rear. We had a look at one before deciding to build a Teardrop.

It seems to a very well thought out design. I would love to see one in person, but at the rate I am going, I will never make it to Australia LOL!

Just happened upon these myself recently, and iirc they have pretty significant water storage onboard just behind the axle. also their platform that folds out/down plus the batteries etc are all to the rear.
