Yup, I agree. things like angle brackets are also stupidly expensive for some reason. I've had some luck on EBay and Amazon.. everything is probably made in china anyhow, so might as well go to the source and cut out the middle man.

I've also had some limited luck finding things in yard sales and auction sales up around renfrew county in Ontario. lots of old timers go there to retire, and then well, fertilize the soil. Leaving behind a legacy of tools, screws, and unfinished projects. But if you want to just 'get 'er done' like I do, sometimes you just need to slap down some cash and buy new.

I have one of these tables that I use for my BBQ business and I really like it. It is a great height. You are not going to be washing dishes in it though, the sink is very shallow.

Sink in the galley, do you guys think it is REQUIRED or necessary?

I think they are a waste of space. They're tiny to begin with and require plumbing down below which takes up more space.

I build my gallies around the stove, a specific cooler and a 7-gallon Reliance water jug.



On my next build, I'm planning on using a 13" x 18" Partner stove that will be on a slider on the left and will come out at 90º. Below it will be the Reliance jug that's also 13" (or 12"?). That will open up more counter space.

I have a small wash tub that doubles for storage and a 7 gal water jug. I seldom use the tub. I keep three spray bottles filled with water, soapy water and alcohol. Those bottles along with paper towels meet 99% of my needs.

Isn't that funny, I always thought the the sink should go in the galley and cooler shouldn't.



I never regretted putting the sink in the galley but I did regret not using sliding doors above the counter. The swing out doors means you had to clear the counter to open them.
