thanks NorthEGPhoto for your kind words. This too is a learning experience for me so I am still trying to learn as much as I can. The more research I am doing the more I am going above my budget. I wish our Canadian currency wasn't so low as a lot of my parts now are coming from the states.

Yup, I agree. things like angle brackets are also stupidly expensive for some reason. I've had some luck on EBay and Amazon.. everything is probably made in china anyhow, so might as well go to the source and cut out the middle man.
I've also had some limited luck finding things in yard sales and auction sales up around renfrew county in Ontario. lots of old timers go there to retire, and then well, fertilize the soil. Leaving behind a legacy of tools, screws, and unfinished projects. But if you want to just 'get 'er done' like I do, sometimes you just need to slap down some cash and buy new.
