Here's a shot of the current state of the interior from the front, looking out the rear window.

Looks cool, I like the color!

On the epoxy - I ended up filling the holes with epoxy both for waterproofing and to make sure the screws don't rotate if I ever need to tighten them from the bottom. I probably should have just left them exposed and accessible from the inside, since they are covered with the mattress anyway, but too late now :)

Been a busy week - got the wiring run, interior lights installed, 2nd coat interior paint, caulking around ceiling, hole cut out for ceiling fan, finished installing the short boards that go between the spars on top of the side walls. I think that's it! (can you tell the youngest's baseball season ended?!!)

I've got most of the electrical done - everything that runs in the roof. Next step is laying the foam board insulation and putting the top on.

Looks good. What will the solar panel layout look like?

I have a single 175 watt. Once I got the battery monitor hooked up, we plugged in a iphone to charge and turned on all the LED lights (porch light not installed yet) and they didn't even come to 1 amp. Curious to see what the ceiling fan does, but with the 200 amp-hr AGM, we should be good for a while unless we get absolutely no sun!

Even on a cloudy day you'll probably pull in one or two amps with that panel. Maybe more since that Rover is an MPPT.

I hope you get some chances to enjoy it before the snow flies. We're going to Kettle Moraine Long Lake unit in Sept. Hoping my brother and son are both there with the teardrops.

Didn't snap any photos today, but finished cutting the insulation for the roof and trialed cutting 45 degrees where the plywood joins over spars. Because we are 76 inches wide, I ran it crosswise, so it will take three sheets, or 2 joints. It worked pretty well, might need a bit of sanding to smooth it up. I'll fiddle around with it some more, didn't glue it down tonight, as much as I want to finish, I didn't want to rush it at the end of a hot muggy day!

Got the roof skinned with 1/4 inch ACX.

Last week I skinned the lower part of the exterior of the front wall. My pneumatic staple gun dents the heck out of the skins, so we are shooting the staples through scraps of 1/8 plywood (that we use as the skins) and then pull them off once the PL Premium is set. Working well and just leaving two tiny holes per staple!

Curious, why are you building a wood frame for the floor other than insulation? You said you were doing a wood frame because it’s a standee. What do you mean by that? Can the plywood floor be bolted directly to the trailer frame if one wasn’t particularly interested in insulating their floor? Here in Texas, winters are mild.

Well, I am not a small man and all that weight concentrated in a few square feet needs some support! In a teardrop where you don't stand, the weight is more distributed, but I found with my 1/2 inch plywood floor, I couldn't span more than about 18-20 inches when standing without it feeling like I might go through to the ground! And yes, I insulated it - I don't know how much I'll use in the Winter, but Fall and Spring nights here in WI can get pretty cold.

It has been a while since I posted, between some personal health issues and waiting for a pole barn to be built so I didn't have to un-tarp and re-tarp every time I wanted to do some work, the trailer was neglected for a long time. I'm healed up and back at it now. Just waiting for night time lows to come up a bit here in WI to be able to fiberglass. Here is a photo of test-fitting the door.
