Thanks for all the kind words all, I really appreciate it.

Thomas, Frank, it sure wasn't my original idea on the hub caps, but I do agree, they make a big difference over the standard trailer wheels. As I mentioned to Cliff, and recommended by many others, hubcap mikes is the place to go. Good prices and super fast shipment and he can accommodate many wheel sizes!

James, just remember the 10 foot rule applies! 8) BTW - what are you bringing this year?

WhitneyK, I just used some long bolts with self locking nuts through the frame and elevator bolts through the side walls. They seem pretty solid to me.

Really looking forward to LCG this year, Kerry and I need the get away!

Again, thanks. For looking and your comments.
Earl & Kerry

Hey Earl

I like those baby moons so much I think I'm gonna try to find some for the critter. From what I understand it'll be hard to make them work for 12" harbor freight wheels. I did find this link that somebody actually did it. You're in this link Earl and that was in 2006.

It hatched!!!!

And what aircraft/USAF theme teardrop would be complete without a little nose art! Kerry did a great job painting it!

We saw this on the B-25 at the Lone Star Museum in Galveston a couple of years ago.

Next step, install the galley gas struts!

Kerry--great art! :applause: :applause: :applause:

Can't wait to see it in a few days.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Earl,

I know you feel better with the hatch on - very nice! The artwork is really cool and completes your theme.

We'll see y'all in a few days. Can't wait to experience in person the Blue Yonder.

Take care,
Tom

Thanks for looking and all the kind words everyone. I must admit it has been a stressful last month getting the Blue Yonder campable. And Kerry knocking out our nose art super fast - Wow!!!

I spent nearly 8 hours getting the trailer lights working today. I figured take the time and run dedicated grounds for each light and soldering all connections now as compared to spending the time trying to troubleshoot faulty lights. They worked great when plugged into the truck tonight!

Tomorrow the plan is to install the gas struts, hopefully that goes a little faster than the lights did.

Look forward to seeing everyone at LCG!

Well, after a weekend of work which included gas struct, caulking under the trailer, and some weather seal, the Blue Yonder is ready to hit the road!
