Well.... today I went to melborne and got more 35mm EPF for the ceiling insulation and found the material for my subfloor and possibly walls.
Got home and dry fitted spars, masked galley up and then disassembled and glued the last sidewall on and all the spars.
Yesterday I pulled my new shore power inlet apart and modified a AU 15 amp inlet to fit inside it and a mate that called in thought it was factory.tomorrow starting the light wiring in prep for the ceiling

Cut all my ceiling sheets down to width and sealed them both sides and edges then 4 coats of poly and a knock back with 240 then 2 more coats.
I'll give it a very light 240 sand and 2 more coats tomorrow then a wet sand with 800 and it's done.
The top of the ceiling will get more protective coats once installed

Thanks I'll upload some pics tomorrw maybe , I've taken the day off.
There's alot I've done actualy but it dosn't look like it until it all comes together.
Hoping I don't have to much drama with the ceiling as I cut them about 1mm big and I got stacks of varnish on the edge I'll need to knock back to make the edge "crisp" and fit snug but not to tight.
The kauri ply is realy coming up nice

Without the first part of this statement, the second part didn't really happen. :R

Not "maybe", do please. I'm sure it is coming up nicely and am anxious to see!

When my Dad and I built our boat (about 30 something years ago), his on going health issues meant he was often out of bed in the middle of the night, trying to ease the pain. He would go down to the basement and start sanding and painting things. Problem was he used to annoy Mum by getting paint all over his pyjamas. Like diarrhea it must run in your genes, as the wife has a photo of me in my pyjamas in the middle of the night giving a final smooth off to the concrete floor in one of our garden sheds. :D

Ha! Yea little ones are a handful.
So I've got my first ceiling sheet in...doing it a bit unconventionaly as usual by fitting one at a time from the back forward.
I decided to use 40 grit sand paper to sand off about .5 mm at a time and leave it slightly larger than where it needed to go and bow it into place.
Was no fun at all but the end result means nice tight joins that are finished!
I'll upload some pics later on
