Good for you, enjoy the trip. Make sure you allow extra time for tours of the new trailer. Cause that's what happens!

Well I have almost everything done only one more thing to finish and
it's an outside removable table which I should get done tomorrow.
Got the trim around the a/c done
Image
and I cut (by hand) some graphics for the front and rear and
I added some star graphics to the top of the swish's
Image
Image
I got the mattress cut and installed 6" memory foam
Image
The nice thing about the carpet liner I used is if you get the "toothy" part of velcro it will stick to it.
Which I did to install my lights they are battery operated led lights.
Image

Image
I installed a total of 5 lights probably overkill but I had them so why not lol
I also went under the trailer and resprayed the entire bottom with rubberized undercoating.
I just have the table to wrap up tomorrow and it will be finished......for now
Til later, See ya

Last night I got some shots of the lights
Inside lights

Outside motion light

Then today I got a chance to finish the table and added some trim
to the bottom which looks alot cleaner than my screws I had used.

I used the same trim and aluminum as on the trailer since Im O.C.D. like that

Well the trip was a success! The trailer towed fantastic, slept great and exceeded our expectations.

Where did you get your door? I like the size of it, and have room for it. If I can find a good deal on one, I'll go that route rather than making it.

Thank you! we had a great time st. augustine had so much to see, we barely scratched the surface.

I got it off of ebay but "good deal" may not be the best words for it. It cost $240 with shipping and I just checked the seller doesn't have anymore.
this is the closest one i could find

unless you want a giant door 42x42

Do you have an estimate of the final weight of your camper? I really like the simplicity of your design. I've been trying to talk my husband into helping me build one but he has been uncertain of our abilities with the more complex designs.

I love the simplicity of your build. It's a bare bones design that would be great as a first time attempt. I would think it is very affordable to build as well. I love the use of the solar porch light and the battery LEDS inside. I'm toying with the idea of using a 42" x 42" door (which you linked to) as a rear galley door for access to a simple few shelves as a galley.
Kudos to you!

P.S. Where did you get your carpet from?

Final weight is around 675#. Its a fairly easy design to duplicate and not to complex but doesn't have insulation, which matters to some but not for my area and the carpet lining did make a big difference.

I had the same idea for a galley using that door, mainly because I think it would make for a fairly leak proof solution to the galley.
The porch light and battery leds worked out great. I dont like the way the battery leds are made as far as the battery compartment goes...so I will change those out but the simplicity factor is awesome. I found some others im going to go with http://www.ebay.com/itm/171284414348?ss ... 1423.l2649
They should be alot brighter at 125 lumens
and the carpet that i used http://www.ebay.com/itm/150ft-long-x-48 ... 3f0e0b5608
