Thanks, Dave. I couldn't resist giving it a good shake and I'm glad to say the only thing that moved was the suspension.
Kind Regards, BigAl.

Hi Steve, Yes I completely agree. I did have a sneaky lie down when I thought my neighbours were not looking. :)
Kind Regards, BigAl.

Rain proofing is *essential* here, in fact I might as well fit buoyancy tanks and a snorkel ;)

^ Author unknown... but he did Private Message me this rendering. Bless his heart...

:dancing

I would imagine that the noise of rain on doped fabric would drive me mad.

Yes. That was a poor suggestion. :NC

I plan on 1/8 birch (if I can find it) over my interior's exposed spars... and I may "panel" a portion, but not all, of each section of ceiling w/ wool carpet or upholstered foam panels as sound deadening. I will experiment, as it has to be pleasing in appearance. We'll be sleeping in there...

:relaxing:

Guys, thanks for your generous comments. :)

I had a look for the British Chapter on Tearjerkers.net and for whatever reason, all I can find there is about six build journals and not much else. I clicked on the Chapter map too. I am obviously missing something.

The thing that worries me about putting the Teardrop cabin onto a pontoon, is... Imagine waking up at 3am needing a pee, opening the side door and......Aaaarrrghh! Splosh!! <bubble> <bubble> <bubble>. Suppose we could sleep wearing life preservers though! ;)
Kind Regards, BigAl.

I think the teardrop thing has realy taken off in the last couple of years over here, and the builds on there are the ones that have been done in that time. There are a few of us brits on there, and i think there will be a few more builds posted once the weather picks up a bit. Have a good scroll down the threads as they are not all on stickys. My Scavenger 2 has just started and deli dave has his number 3 on there

Remember, the only way to get the brit bit bigger is to post, even if its only words of encouragement . We need to know you are there

Try
http://tearjerkers.net/forums/viewforum ... c0b156a7f5
I am seeing 72 entries.

I like the idea of the pontoons but it might be an idea to extend decking out so you can get to the doors and protect from splashing :)
