No more pitty party for "the frame that couldn't" but now it does just fine.

Kinda got a little ahead of ourselves here but let me recap and document with pictures:

First we chopped off all the unusable frame: (saturday morning)

Just showing a sample of how unusable the old weld was: remember no pitty party!!! onward and upward...

The new addition to the trailer has been welded at 45 degree joints

And then I was back to ground zero to forge forward. Heeeeeve Ho!

Glad that you're ready to build again and that you have a sound foundation...well done, Johnny D.

I liked the flooring that you had to rip up :( Your attitude is amazing despite the setbacks, really inspiring.

Good luck in your progress...time to cover up that beautiful frame! :D

There is no comparison between the old and new. Now, you have a quality frame and a good foundation to start from. You're on the right road now! :applause:

Sharon,

I just looked through your album and picked up a GREAT tip on cutting styrofoam.

Heat up your knife with a home use clothes iron! What a fabulous idea and my garage won't look like a snow storm, I have been dreading that part, thanks for the great tip!

You're welcome, Pam. The hot knife helped a lot but I still kept a vacuum handy to use when some "snow" got away from me. When the knife got cold, that would happen plus sometimes I got impatient. It's too bad nobody has invented an electric hot knife!

Ageless: I knew they made one of them. We can get about anything you want in this country except a job.

Pam: I thought up a personalized plate for your TD... CANDPAM ??? :o That reads as (canned Pam), not (candy Pam). I guess if you wanted to say it either way that would be OK, too. Most tear-droppers would read it as (canned Pam) because of the canned ham trailers and lay-persons would read it as (candy Pam).

So I am torn between RENOTEAR or IMADEIT for a license plate. Calling dmv today to see if I can reserve it.

Pam, go here; https://dmvapp.nv.gov/dmv/vr/plateav/plateav_input.aspx ; Personalized Plate Search page where you can try any combo you like to see if its available. Up to 7 characters. They told me the only way to reserve one is to pay for the registration.

The above song is by Johnny Nash I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all the obstacles in my way.... ~ This is so perfect for the tear drop trailer building process at my house.

Which leads in the direction of "I made it".... :) ~~~~Nothing is ever simple is it? But I really like meaning and substance to decisions I make.

My vote right now is leaning to I Made It which can be defined by the reader who is looking at the plate.
