Steve,

I'm been busier than a beaver on my build to get it ready in time for an outing and am just now catching up on build journals.

All I can say is "Wow". Rarely does function and form/beauty come together, but your folding seat design is incredible! And the pleated aluminum...what can I say but "stunning."

You have yourself another really fine teardrop/TTT.

Take care,
Tom

Thanks guys. On Tuesday I start loading it for my outing this weekend. You get real use to where everything is in the main trailer. Now I have to find a place for all the stuff in the new one. Worse then that I will have to remember where I put everything!

Talk to me about that siding. Where did you get it, was it 'spensive, what size does it come in, etc., etc.

Well the aluminum came from Frank Bear at Vintek. He is listed on Ebay as Vintek and the business is Vintage Technologies in Portage Michigan. Check out the Tearjerkers site in the Venders corner for his contact info.
The aluminum only comes in 4' width. They have a waterproof crimped seam .So the roof piece has 3 seams. The side walls with the crimp have a slip seam. So that is 2 pieces about 10' long. So the roof was about 5' X 16' and the sides were 5'X 10'. The cost was just under 600.00. There are many colors to choose from. It may seem a little high but there is no maintenance. So no polishing, just was it like a car. It was hard to work with the pleated sides. I highly recommend having help.

Love this one...you are quite the craftsman.

What did you use for the door trim? Our TD is finished except for the door trim, and yours looks great.

I just used aluminum T-ee molding for my door edges. I got it from the same place as the sheet goods.

Very well done Steve! I love the interior upholstery work! Great colors/ pattern on it. You've gotta take that one out soon and Wow all the other campers! The porthole window is the bomb....and I love the trim on the ceiling...mahogany? It's got that "professional" look. Ya done good! Doug
