Thanks to all for the kind words. Not a lot to take pic's of the last few days,
running a lot of wires and cutting holes for lights and switch's.

One of my friends who is a TV sales rep. and his son came over to use me and my shop to cut out the pc's for a bed frame that looks like a John Deere tractor. It took most of the afternoon to do.when we were done he was looking at my Tear Drop and said,"I have a 15inch LCD flatscreen that will work perfect in there ,I'll give it to you next week.
Can you say SCORE!!!!!!!! :D glad I havn't made the face frame for the cabin side of the cabinets yet.

wow I really like the walnut ...... is it one piece or did you join it

Thanks droid_ca ,I can't wait either.

jkidd6339 I started out with 1 wide board, ripped to 1/4" strips.I let the pylwood of the roof skin hang over the sides an inch, that gave me something to form and glue to.then I glued 1 strip at a time, glue and clamp glue and clamp 12 times, then the belt sander to smooth it out.

Got some more done even though the temps have been over 100 plus the last 39 days.
Got the skin on ( its floating )
Finished laminating the walnut curved trim.
I bought my skin from a surplus store and while it was not dented it did have some scratchs so I had to start with 400 grit paper and work my way to 1200 then hours of buffing. If I had to do over and still wanted the polished look I would buy new with the protective covering on it.

Will the polishing never end?

Out in the sun to check the shine

curved walnut trim is on (the sticks are just holding the deck plate temporarlly)

In the pics the edge trim is white .It was the only thing I could find in town
I'm going to strip it and polish it to.I may regret that decision as well.

David,

Your teardrop looks fantastic. The polished aluminum is icing on the cake! I can see it is almost campable. When's your first outing?

Take care,
Tom
