Love what you have done so far. I have been designing a trailer of very similar concept (sub-floor basement and increased ride height.) My equipment storage access is exclusively through the rear and my front drawers pull forward into the cabin with intent of clothing storage. Also, my design is 144" long allowing me to have open floor space at the entry, reducing the entry floor height from the ground to ease entry. (The sub floor stops at the rear of the side door.) The floor space and extra 24" length allows for the opportunity have the pull forward draws and enough room for a rear facing seating area in the front of the cabin.
I plan to build the frame as you have done, so looking at your pics has eased my frame design time,"Thanks for that."
Unfortunately at the moment, my trailer is on hold on account of non-payment by a customer of mine. The money he owes me was my funds for my trailer. (Damn rich people think they can get away with whatever they want and they believe they can change the rules post completion of work.) (Sorry to get off-topic)
Brief thought since you obviously have the fabrication skills. You may wish to add a 1 1/4" or a 2" receiver to the rear of your trailer. You could easily cut a hole in the 2x3 to accept either and brace it to the next forward cross member. Installing it within the 2x3 will not effect the rear ground height. This will allow the opportunity to hang bikes, spare tire, storage rack or other items from the rear of your trailer. You may find a use for it with and without the rear hatch open.
Keep up the the pics. Your doing a great job...!! Can't wait to see more.
